The Star of Spring in Japan
A close up of a weeping cherry blossom — yaeshidarezakura (八重枝垂桜) in Japanese. It’s a beauty.
Incidentally, this photo has now become my most popular photo on Flickr. Over 400 favorites and nearly 20k views. Wow!

Am I Brushing My Teeth Correctly? -
It seems pretty straightforward: you brush your teeth in the morning and in the evening then you’re all set. It turns out it’s not exactly that simple. While brushing your teeth at least twice a day is the usual recommendation, how and when you do it isn’t as simple as you’d think.
Some good advice. I think most of it is common sense, but this bit did surprise me:
Don’t put too much pressure on your teeth, you need to brush all the way up to gums, but don’t do it too hard.
I’ve actually been told that recently by my dentist, but it was never mentioned to me by anyone in the 30+ years previous.
